Anya & Andrew’s Romantic Scottish Wedding Day
When Anya and Andrew told me they were flying all the way from Melbourne, Australia, to get married in Scotland, my heart skipped a beat. Andrew is originally from here, and Anya, who was the most stunning bride with the warmest smile. From the very first moment, I could tell this day was going to be something truly special.
What struck me about them was how grounded and lovely they are. They didn’t want the day to be all about staged photo shoots. For them, the most important thing was spending time with their closest friends and family who had travelled near and far. And honestly, that made their wedding day feel so beautifully authentic.

A Heartfelt Promise in Scotland
The Ceremony
The ceremony itself was heartfelt and full of emotion. Watching Andrew see Anya walk down the aisle was one of those moments I’ll never forget. Their vows had everyone smiling and tearing up in equal measure, it was the perfect balance of love, laughter, and deep meaning.
Candid Moments That Tell the Story
Time With Loved Ones
After the “I do’s,” the celebration truly came alive. Group photos and VERY QUICK photo session! After that Anya and Andrew chose to spend their afternoon right where they belonged, surrounded by the people they love most. The laughter, the hugs, the candid snapshots, these were the kinds of memories they wanted captured, and it was such a joy to photograph.
Just fifteen Minutes, A Lifetime of Memories
A Golden Hour Moment
Even though they wanted to keep things relaxed, we managed to steal away for a short golden hour photo shoot, just 15 minutes together. And wow, was it worth it! The soft Scottish light wrapped around them like magic, giving us some of the most romantic portraits of the day.
Heartfelt Words and a Slice of Fun
Speeches, Party Mode & Pizza
The speeches were heartfelt and hilarious—exactly what you’d want from a wedding. Friends and family spoke about their journey, their love, and the way these two truly belong together.
Party came to live and then came the fun twist—pizza! Because what better way to celebrate than with slices of delicious pizza shared among loved ones? I absolutely adored photographing those fun, casual moments: guests laughing over toppings, hands reaching for slices, and Anya in her chic short dress enjoying every bite.
One of my favourite moments of the evening was when Anya slipped into her second look—a short, stylish dress that screamed personality. Watching her twirl, dance, and laugh in it was the perfect finale to the day. It was playful, modern, and just so her.
