A modern city celebration full of confetti, graffiti, Pride colours and pizza in the heart of Glasgow
Some weddings are all about grand timelines and packed schedules.
And some weddings - like Rosanne and Sarah’s - are about presence, connection, colour and celebrating love exactly as it is.
Their intimate wedding at Glasgow City Chambers on Montrose Street was elegant, modern, joyful, and completely in tune with the spirit of Glasgow itself - a city full of texture, personality and colour.
I joined them straight after their ceremony for two relaxed hours of celebrations around the city, starting with confetti and finishing with pizza and cheers in a bar surrounded by their favourite people. And honestly? It was such a perfect way to celebrate a wedding day

& A Little Surprise Start

Even though I was booked to start coverage after the ceremony, I couldn’t quite help myself - I arrived a little earlier to surprise Rosanne and Sarah and capture a few extra moments inside Glasgow City Chambers before they stepped out.
And I’m so glad I did.
Those first hugs after the ceremony, the smiles, the *we did it* feeling, and a relaxed little walk together through the beautiful interiors of City Chambers created such a lovely beginning to their story. These quiet just-married moments always feel incredibly special - calm, emotional and full of connection before the celebrations begin outside.
Then we stepped out onto Montrose Street where their guests were already waiting with confetti, laughter and big cheers.
The atmosphere instantly felt warm and personal. With smaller weddings like this, every guest truly matters and you can feel how close everyone is to the couple.
We captured relaxed group photos right outside the chambers before heading off to explore the city together.
And from that moment on, the day became exactly what city weddings should be: spontaneous, stylish and full of colour and personality.

Glasgow as the Perfect Modern Wedding Backdrop
One of the things I loved most about Rosanne and Sarah’s wedding was how naturally the city became part of their story.
Glasgow has this incredible mix of elegance and edge. Beautiful historic architecture sits right beside colourful graffiti walls, hidden corners, textured streets and bold urban backdrops and together they create something truly unique for wedding photography.
Their day had a strong sense of colour running through it, and Glasgow delivered exactly that.
We walked through streets filled with character, found bright murals, unexpected colour pops, and even a Pride flag along the way — one of those small but powerful details that felt completely right for their celebration.
Modern. Honest. Joyful. Personal.
Exactly what their wedding felt like.
