Ella and Calum’s Whitekirk Hill wedding was one of those unforgettable days - full of colour, love, and laughter, with the sea breeze just around the corner.
From the moment I arrived, I could feel how much thought they had poured into their day. Whitekirk is already such a stunning spot, but with the beautiful flowers and colourful décor, they made it completely their own. It felt vibrant, warm, and full of joy - just like them.
The Morning Magic
Ella and her bridesmaids started the morning in their cosy lodge. I loved capturing the calm but excited energy - a glass of fizz in hand, laughter bouncing off the walls. At one point, the girls dipped their feet into the outdoor jacuzzi, giggling away, and it was the perfect snapshot of “pre-wedding happiness.” Meanwhile, over at another lodge, Callum and his best man were getting ready together and my Second Shooter captured them. Calum - he was great, there was this calm, genuine kindness about him - you could just tell how much he adores Ella.
A Love-Filled Ceremony
The ceremony itself was a dream. Standing in such a beautiful setting, surrounded by family, friends, and the scent of fresh flowers, Ella and Callum looked at each other like no one else existed. It was pure magic. Honestly, I don’t think there was a single dry eye around.
Callum, overcome with emotion as he saw Ella - a moment that spoke louder than words.
Ella’s radiant smile lit up the ceremony - pure joy, pure love.
Colour, Flowers & So Much Joy
The details were incredible - bold, beautiful blooms spilling out across the venue, perfectly styled décor that felt both elegant and fun. Everything was alive with colour, and it reflected their personalities so well. The celebration flowed so naturally, with everyone just soaking up the joy of the day.
Guests, Family & Genuine Joy
After the ceremony, we gathered everyone together for portraits - the kind of joyful chaos I absolutely love. There were hugs, laughter, and a few happy tears as family and friends came together to celebrate Ella and Callum.
A Sweet Wedding Photoshoot in North Berwick
After the celebrations at Whitekirk, we slipped away for a little adventure to nearby North Berwick for Ella and Callum’s couple photos. I always love when couples take a moment during the day just for themselves - it becomes such a relaxed, natural part of the story.
We wandered through the streets of this beautiful seaside town, soaking in the coastal atmosphere and capturing some gorgeous, candid moments along the way. North Berwick is one of my favourite places for wedding photos- charming streets, sea views, and that lovely relaxed Scottish seaside vibe.
And because no seaside visit is complete without a treat, Ella and Callum grabbed ice cream as we walked around. It was such a simple but perfect moment - laughing, chatting, enjoying the sunshine, and just being themselves. Those are always my favourite photos to capture: real moments that feel effortless and full of life.
Madly in Love
What really made the day special was Ella and Callum themselves. The love between them was impossible to miss.
Callum’s love for Ella was so strong and genuine - the way he looked at her, held her hand, and quietly made sure she was okay throughout the day said everything. He was looking after her so beautifully, and you could see just how much she meant to him.
And Ella’s love for Callum was just as powerful. The way she looked at him, smiling and laughing throughout the day, showed how deeply connected they are. Together they were effortless, natural, and so clearly meant to be - the kind of love that fills a room and makes photographing weddings such a privilege.
