It’s always such a special feeling when you get to photograph a couple more than once - and for Jenna and Danny, I had that privilege from the very start. I first met them during their engagement shoot, and even back then I knew their wedding day was going to be something amazing. They have this spark - the kind of energy that makes everyone around them instantly smile. So when their big day at Netherbyers in Eyemouth finally arrived, I couldn’t wait to capture every joyful moment.
From Engagement
to “I Do”
Their engagement session was pure fun - lots of laughter, soft golden light, and those unguarded, happy moments that make my job so rewarding. It was clear even then how effortlessly they connect. So stepping into their wedding morning felt like picking up right where we left off - only this time, surrounded by friends, family, and all the excitement that comes with the big day!
The Wedding Day at NetherBYERS
The morning was filled with giggles, music, and the happy chaos of getting ready. Jenna looked radiant — calm yet absolutely glowing — surrounded by her best girls. Danny, meanwhile, was all smiles and nerves in the best way possible, ready to marry the love of his life.
The ceremony took place in the beautiful surroundings of Netherbyers House, a venue that’s equal parts romantic and relaxed. The atmosphere was electric as Jenna walked down the aisle, and when Danny saw her - oh, that look said it all. You could feel the love in the air.
Familiar Faces and Heartfelt Moments
One of the highlights for me was seeing so many familiar faces. I had photographed their friends’ wedding before, and walking into this one felt like a reunion! Everyone was so warm and welcoming - I felt less like a vendor and more like part of the family.
The laughter during speeches, the cheers during toasts, and the absolute joy on the dance floor - it all reminded me why I love what I do.
There’s something so special about photographing a couple surrounded by people who love them deeply.
Rain, Rain… and a Rainbow
Just as the ceremony began, the skies opened and the rain started pouring. For a moment we weren’t sure if we would manage any outdoor photos at all. To keep everyone dry and comfortable, we did all the family group photos inside, which actually created such a lovely, cosy atmosphere with everyone gathered together.
But weddings are full of little surprises - and sometimes the best moments come when you take a chance.
Even though the rain was still falling, Jenna and Danny were up for giving it a try. So we stepped outside, umbrellas ready, hoping for a tiny break in the weather. And then something magical happened.
About five minutes into the shoot, the rain stopped completely… and right above us appeared the most beautiful rainbow. It felt like the universe giving the day its own little blessing.
Suddenly the light was soft, the air fresh after the rain, and Jenna and Danny were laughing in disbelief at their luck. Those portraits ended up being some of my favourites of the whole day - proof that sometimes the unexpected moments become the most magical ones.
And then it was time to head back inside for the party- and what a party it was!
The dance floor filled up fast, the music kicked in, and the celebration carried on late into the evening.
A Little Bit of Magic to End the Day
Looking back at Jenna and Danny’s wedding, it truly had everything - laughter, emotional moments, a bit of Scottish rain, and even a rainbow to top it all off. The day was full of genuine joy and the kind of love that makes everyone around feel part of something special.
What I loved most was how relaxed and happy they were throughout it all. No matter what the weather decided to do, Jenna and Danny simply enjoyed every moment together. And that’s exactly what makes a wedding unforgettable - not perfect conditions, but real emotions, real people, and real memories.
It was such a joy to capture their story, from their engagement shoot all the way to this beautiful celebration surrounded by friends and family. Days like this remind me how lucky I am to do what I do.
And of course, none of it would have come together so beautifully without an incredible team behind the scenes.
