A Joyful Beginning
Christina and Michael’s wedding weekend began with an unforgettable Friday evening Welcome Party at stunning Winton Castle. This day was all about connection — friends reuniting, families meeting, and the couple welcoming their loved ones into a weekend that promised celebration, love, and joy. I already felt like we all are going to be best friends by the end of my work on friday.

To honor Christina’s heritage, the couple chose to wear traditional Chinese wedding attire. Christina looked radiant in a red qipao embroidered with gold detailing, a color symbolizing luck, happiness, and prosperity. Michael matched beautifully in a golden silk jacket, a subtle nod to tradition while still showcasing his own personality. Together, they were the perfect picture of elegance, culture, and love.

Warm Conversations and Happy Reunions
The party began with guests trickling in, greeted by the grandeur of the castle and the warmth of Christina and Michael’s smiles. Some guests were seeing each other for the first time in years, others meeting entirely new faces, but there was an instant sense of belonging. From the terrace to the library rooms, everywhere you turned there was laughter, storytelling, and glasses raised in toasts. Couples, families, and friends gathered in little circles, their conversations flowing easily in the relaxed atmosphere.

Playful Love
Christina and Michael’s personalities shone brightly throughout the evening. Their portraits together tell a story of both romance and fun — leaning into each other on the balcony, sharing jokes, and sneaking in little kisses when no one was watching.
They didn’t shy away from playful moments either. One series of photos shows Michael lifting Christina into his arms, her red dress catching the light as they laughed together. These light-hearted shots are such a beautiful reflection of their relationship — full of joy, humor, and an unshakable bond.

The Atmosphere
The setting could not have been more perfect. Outside, guests mingled by the firepit as logs crackled in the evening air. Inside, the castle glowed with warm lighting, its historic interiors framing the conversations and laughter. Between the ornate ceilings, cozy libraries, and sweeping views of the gardens, the venue created an atmosphere that was timeless and grand, yet intimate and inviting. And the Chinese food! Was so delicious!

All about Heritage and Togetherness
What stood out most about the Welcome Party was the blend of heritage, tradition, and modern celebration. Christina and Michael honored her Chinese culture while also keeping the evening relaxed and full of laughter. It set the tone for the entire weekend: a beautiful mix of elegance, fun, and heartfelt connection.
Every smile, every hug, and every laugh shared that night hinted at the magic still to come.

What Comes Next...
The Welcome Party was the kind of evening that left everyone smiling long after the night ended — a perfect prologue to the wedding itself. If Friday was all about laughter, warmth, and honoring heritage, then Saturday would take everything to another level. I already knew it!
In Part Two, I'll bring you into Christina and Michael’s wedding day — a celebration that was as breathtaking as it was personal. Think tender first look, traditional Scottish games, and a dance floor that no one wanted to leave. And Yes! Christina had not one but two stunning dresses!!!!
