A Fairytale Across Continents
For Christina and Michael, love has always been about blending two worlds. Living in Los Angeles, California, they’ve built their life together in Beverly Hills — but when it came to their wedding day, they wanted to honor both of their families. With Christina’s Chinese roots celebrated at their Welcome Party, it was only fitting that the wedding itself took place in Scotland, where Michael’s family is from The result? A once-in-a-lifetime celebration in a historic Scottish castle that felt straight out of a storybook — grand, elegant, and deeply personal.

A Moment of Forever
Some weddings unfold with carefully planned ceremonies, heartfelt vows, and structured timelines. Christina and Michael’s day was the opposite—and it was absolutely perfect.
From the moment I arrived, I could feel that this wasn’t going to be a traditional wedding. There was no ceremony, no aisle to walk down, no long formalities. Instead, Christina and Michael chose to skip straight to what mattered most to them: celebrating with their people.
Their grand entrance set the tone for everything that followed. As the doors opened, they were met with a shower of confetti, their friends and family cheering them on with so much energy and joy. It was less like a wedding entrance and more like the best kind of party kickoff—the kind where you instantly know you’re in for something unforgettable.
Once the confetti settled, the day flowed effortlessly into laughter, food, and pure togetherness. Christina and Michael were embracing guests, clinking glasses, and soaking in every moment. The atmosphere felt relaxed yet vibrant, free of the usual pauses and structure that can sometimes pull couples away from the fun.
What stood out to me most, as a photographer, was how true this celebration was to who Christina and Michael are. Their wedding wasn’t about tradition or expectation—it was about connection. It was about sharing the start of their married life in a way that felt authentic, joyful, and uniquely theirs. And honestly, it was magic.

THE COUPLE’S PORTRAITS AT WINTON CASTLE
In the midst of the celebration, we carved out time for Christina and Michael’s portraits around the breathtaking Winton Castle grounds. The castle provided the most romantic backdrop, with its historic architecture and soft, golden light.
We wandered through the gardens and even found our way to the fields where a few curious cows became part of the shoot—an unexpected and playful moment that perfectly reflected the fun, carefree vibe of the day.
Of course, their vintage car had its moment too. Sleek and full of character, it was the perfect complement to their timeless style and added a touch of old-world glamour to their gallery. These portraits felt like little pauses in the whirlwind of celebration—just the two of them, soaking in the joy of the day together.

The Reception:
Laughter and Celebration
As evening fell, the castle transformed into a place of joy and celebration. Long banquet tables filled with flowers and candlelight created a warm, inviting atmosphere. Speeches were filled with heartfelt words and playful stories — every laugh and tear reminding everyone of the love surrounding Christina and Michael.
The dance floor quickly came alive, with music filling the hall and guests celebrating late into the night. Christina and Michael’s first dance was a romantic highlight, but the energy that followed made it impossible for anyone to stay seated. It was the kind of reception that perfectly matched the couple’s spirit — joyful, vibrant, and unforgettable.

A DRESS CHANGE FOR THE PARTY
As the evening celebrations kicked off, Christina surprised everyone with a stunning dress change. Swapping her elegant bridal gown for a chic party dress, she was ready to dance the night away in true style. It was the perfect transition from romantic portraits to full-on party mode—and such a fun way to show off her personality.
Before hitting the dancefloor, we stepped outside for a little celebratory prosecco spray—bubbles flying, laughter echoing, and pure joy captured in every frame. Afterwards, we took advantage of the moody evening light for a quick night photoshoot around the castle. With the soft glow of lights in the background and the excitement of the party buzzing inside, those images became the perfect closing chapter to their wedding story: romantic, playful, and effortlessly stylish.

What made this wedding so special wasn’t just the breathtaking castle or the traditions woven throughout — it was the way Christina and Michael made every moment about love, family, and laughter. They brought together their worlds, blending cultures and continents, to create something that felt entirely their own.
For their guests, it was more than just a wedding — it was a memory that will last a lifetime. And for Christina and Michael, it was the beginning of forever, in the most magical way possible.
